HULA TEAM AUDITIONS

ALL DANCERS MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR AUDITIONS (NO COST TO REGISTER)

TEAM INFORMATION (PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY!):

Hula Teams allow dancers to participate in fun performances throughout the community. Each team will prepare 1-2 routines to perform along with other ISD teams as part of a production. Dancers are invited to participate by audition only.

Studio Teams offered:

  • Keiki Team (ages 6-8 / must have at least one year experience with ISD to audition)
  • Kamali’i Team (ages 8-11)
  • Waena Team (ages 12-17)
  • Holomua Team (ages 18+ or by invitation)

AUDITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Beginner / Intermediate Dancers: will be taught various Hula basics to see how fast they learn and if they have any technical / performance skills.
  • Advanced Dancers: will be asked to demonstrate Hula basics as well as a dance that they have previously learned. Dancers will be judged on technique and performance skills.

AUDITIONS WILL TAKE PLACE DURING YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED TECHNIQUE CLASS DURING THE SECOND WEEK OF FALL CLASSES.
